Avalon’s rooftop terrace is widely recognized and visible from various points around Gothenburg, serving as a gathering place for fun during the warm months in Sweden. Bathrobes and slippers are always available in our rooms, and guests are encouraged to bring their swimwear. The terrace is equipped with towels, sun loungers, umbrellas, and our pool staff are happy to serve you something refreshing to drink.
The pool is open during summer from 10:00 PM to 6:00 PM daily, and as a guest of our hotel, you can call and order drinks from our ground floor bar, which we will then deliver to you on the terrace. From Midsummer to mid-August, the terrace is staffed daily. The pool maintains a temperature of around 26 degrees Celsius and measures 7 by 3 meters with a depth of 1.3 meters. Part of the water “floats freely” over Kungsportsplatsen, making it an exciting place to swim.
The terrace can also be booked exclusively.
